AT&T runs campaign against driving and texting.

In March AT&T launched its campaign against driving and texting and now it has introduced a video lasting for 11 minutes to augment the concept. The video “The Last Text” will appear before New Year’s Eve.
The main idea of the video is to show how people are influenced by texting while driving. It includes the story of Mariah West’s parents who died after they wrote “Where u at?” to one of their friends.
Using its YouTube channel, AT&T represents the film for government agencies, safety organizations and schools. Last March a new online campaign “It Can Wait” of AT&T was introduced. It consists of a Facebook page with many friends taking a pledge not to drive and text.
There is a growing problem that lies in texting behind the wheel. According to the Department of Transportation, last year five hundred people under 20 were killed because of use of their devices while driving. As the Pew Internet & American Life Project states, 43% of teens have made calls while driving and 26% of them have texted.
